CareRingmedicine reminder

Terms of use

The agreement for using the CareRing app and its family sharing service.

Operator: JNJ

1. The service

CareRing reminds you to take your medicine at the times you set, with a voice and a bell, and keeps a record of your doses. If you want, you can share that record with family members you choose.

2. Not a medical service

  • CareRing is not a medical device or medical care. It does not diagnose, prescribe or judge doses.
  • Follow your doctor’s and pharmacist’s directions on when and how much to take.
  • For important medicines, don’t rely on reminders alone; use another way to check as well.

3. Reminders can be late or fail

Notification permissions, battery saving, Do Not Disturb, device faults or system updates can delay or stop a reminder. Use the app’s Reminder check screen to review your settings. Unless there is intent or gross negligence, the operator is not liable for loss caused by this.

4. Price

Features for your own use (reminders, bells, records, export) are free. Family sharing and the family voice reminder come with the CareRing Plus subscription.

  • Your first subscription starts with a 30-day free trial. When it ends, you are charged for the plan you chose (monthly or yearly), and it renews automatically on that cycle.
  • Cancel any time during the trial and you won’t be charged. Cancel from Manage subscription in the app or from your Google Play or App Store subscriptions. If you cancel after paying, you keep access until the end of that period.
  • The app reminds you before the free trial ends.
  • The price is the amount shown on the purchase screen. If it changes, we tell you in advance and ask for consent as the store requires.
  • Payments and refunds follow Google Play and App Store policies.
  • When a subscription ends, the features for your own use and the records on your phone stay.

5. Family sharing

  • Family sharing uses sign-in with a Google account. You can also sign in with an Apple account on iPhone, or a Kakao account on Android phones in Korea.
  • Don’t view or share someone’s record without their consent.
  • Send invite codes only to family you trust.
  • We may stop access for anyone who uses the service to harass others or disrupt it.

6. Your data

Your records belong to you. You can export or delete them at any time. See the privacy policy.

7. Changes to or end of the service

We announce feature changes or the end of the service 30 days in advance in the app and on this site. Even then, you can export the records on your phone.

8. Changes to these terms

We announce changes 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days before for changes that work against you.

9. Governing law

These terms follow the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes go to the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
